Tips & Tools Training: Active Learning

WDBTAP & WCBVI Outreach are sponsoring Active Learning Training:

Ms. Patricia Obrzut, M.S., O.T.R/L. a recognized expert and premier educator in Active Learning theory from the Penrickton Center for Blind Children will be providing you with tips and tools to incorporate this fresh and pioneering approach into your curriculum.  Learn how to increase functional independence and developmental skills while reducing stereotypical, self-injurious or aggressive behaviors.  Active Learning equipment and materials will be present throughout the training.  Training is designed for service providers and parents working with children from developmental level birth to age 3 years.

Deafblind Intervener Training Offered Through Utah State University 

An online deafblind intervener training program is now available through Utah State University (USU). WDBTAP is extending the opportunity to take this coursework to selected professionals, paraprofessionals and parents/guardians in Wisconsin. Applicants chosen for the training will be reimbursed for the noncredit option fees upon successful completion of the course with a grade of ‘C’ or better.
